The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has confirmed Saturday, June 20, for their Parliamentary primaries and the acclamation of their Presidential candidate.
Speaking to Francis Abban on the Morning Starr, the National Communications Director of the party Yaw Buabeng Asamoah said: “by the close of today, we will decide on it.”

According to Mr Asamoah who is the Member of Parliament for Adenta constituency, the party will use expected to set a date for the acclamation of a presidential candidate.
This comes after President Nana Akufo eased the COVID-19 restrictions for political parties to campaign with a limited number.
The NPP had planned of holding their Primaries in April but was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
